Day 3: BULLDOG DAYS 2011 - THAT’S A WRAP!
We awoke to another beautiful day in New Haven on Friday morning! Spring had set in and the trees were blooming with gorgeous white flowers.
Numerous professors decided to take advantage of the sun by holding class outside!
But back to Bulldog Days! A bunch of 2015ers visited the “Yalies Abroad Panel” and the “Humanities Research Symposium” in Linsly-Chittenden Hall. After a last round of Master Classes, Residential College Tours, Art Gallery Tours, and Library Tours, everyone gathered on Old Campus for a giant pizza party. The giant Handsome Dan even made an appearance!

Can’t wait to see you in the fall, 2015!

Day 2: WALKIN’ ON SUNSHINE!
HEY 2015!
The energy on campus today was contagious! We started the day off with some awesome campus tours, bus tours of the vivacious city of New Haven, undergraduate research forums, and forums about freshman life at Yale.
But we were just getting started! After a delicious, world-famous chicken tender lunch in the 12 residential colleges, we made our way over to Woolsey Hall for the University Welcome Address with Dean of Yale College Mary Miller.
It was hard to take our eyes off the golden Newberry Memorial Organ, but we slowly made our way over to Payne Whitney Gymnasium for the Academic Fair and Extracurricular Bazaar!
We then checked out the Residential College Life Panels, hosted by the masters and deans of the residential colleges and a group of student representatives.
After checking out another Master Class or two, it was finally time for the main event of the evening, the Mosaic Multicultural Showcase.
Check back for photos and videos from the evening!

The Nightlife Scene: Day 1
Wow! There were a ton of events going on all over campus tonight, and a ton of awesome members of the class of 2015!
After the Kick-Off Desert in Commons Dining Hall, a bunch of students enjoyed the debate with the Yale Political Union and General Stanley McCrystal. The Yale Daily News building was flooded with prefrosh, and everyone enjoyed the house party at the Afro-American Cultural Center. The joint improv comedy show was PACKED in WLH and it felt like every organization was bribing 2015 with a ton of delicious treats! Everything from “cocktail chemistry” with the Undergraduate Women in Science to Chinese snacks with Building Bridges was on hand.
A bunch of 2015ers also stopped by the FCC/YCC Ice Cream Social to chill with members of Yale’s student government. It was a pleasure to meet the next generation of Freshman Class Council members! You guys are bound to lead Yale in the right direction!
Much more to come! Bulldog Days is just getting started!

Because once just wasn’t enough….
Since we know how much you enjoyed the RB (Rhythmic Blue) performance at tonight’s Opening Showcase, we’ve decided to upload a short clip for you to watch over and over and over again. Shout out to Allie Ossa, an RB Senior and Psychology Major!

Off to a great start! The first day of Bulldog Days 2011! Welcome 2015!
WHADDUP 2015!
Bulldog Days is off to an awesome start! We just came back from the Welcome Showcase, which featured what Jeff Brenzel, the Dean of Undergraduate Admissions, called “a taste of Yale.” This meant everything from a beat-boxing cellist to an opera singer, or even hip hop from Rhythmic Blue and three of Yale’s finest a cappella groups.
We are currently blogging from Commons Dining Hall, the Hogwarts-style dining hall on campus, at the Ice Cream Social! We had a chance to learn about the Freshman Pre-Orientation Trips, which include FOOT (Freshman Outdoor Orientation Trips program), Harvest, OIS (Orientation for International Students), and Cultural Connections.
…and boy were we surprised when the Yale Precision Marching Band made a surprise appearance just as students were heading out to have a debate with the Yale Political Union (YPU) and Stanley McChrystal (right across the street in SSS).
Stay tuned for some awesome pictures and video!
